Celebrations commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bahá'u'lláh were held in various localities throughout the Republic of Botswana, a landlocked country in Southern Africa. These gatherings brought together community leaders, people of different faiths, and many others whose hearts were touched by the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh. Participants delighted in artistic performances during the celebrations.

A well-loved tea garden in Gaborone was transformed into an art gallery for a special event commemorating the bicentenary. Many of the pieces mounted on the walls of the sunlit terrace were inspired by sacred Bahá’í writings.
