Stories of Celebrations

Thousands of children and adults together with traditional chiefs, and government officials attended celebrations held throughout the cities and villages of Burkina Faso. Dignitaries attended a national gathering in the capital, Ouagadougou, where they read the message from the Universal House of Justice written for the bicentenary and watched Light to the World. The head official of Ouagadougou wrote a tribute to Bahá’u’lláh. Many other celebrations were held in communities throughout the country and among family units.

200 gather to celebrate the bicentenary in Ouagadougou

The Bahá’í community of Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso, organized a special bicentenary meeting around the theme of young people and community building, which was attended by some 200 people.
