In Germany, home of the continental Bahá’í House of Worship for Europe, celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh were in diverse venues throughout the country. In many instances, groups of people — neighbours, friends, and coworkers — gathered together to create works of art, tell stories, and say prayers in honour of the momentous anniversary.
At the Bahá’í House of Worship in Langenhain, the bicentenary celebrations included choral music and prayers.

Arts workshop
The Bahá’í community in Greifswald, a city in northeastern Germany, drew on the arts in honouring the life and teachings of Bahá'u'lláh. Many of these works of art sought to convey spiritual concepts from Bahá’u’lláh’s writings, such as the oneness of humanity, the innate nobility of the human being, and the potential in each person to be a “mine rich in gems of inestimable value”. A gathering specifically for the children was also held in the community.

Stirring exhibition held in Frankfurt
Over the first week of October 2017, a large hall in one of Frankfurt’s landmark buildings was host to an exhibition on the life of Bahá’u’lláh. The Office of the Mayor provided the venue. The exhibition attracted 27,000 visitors.
