In Guyana, a country on South America's North Atlantic coast, the bicentenary of the birth of Bahá'u'lláh was celebrated with devotions, the arts, and fellowship.
In addition to the many local gatherings in localities across the country, a national-level celebration was in the capital city, Georgetown. Representing the President at the event was Guyana's Minister of Education, who, in her remarks, highlighted the work that the Bahá'í community is doing to contribute to the betterment of society.
Friends and families in communities across the country gathered together for the weekend celebrations.
