In Lithuania, a Baltic state in Eastern Europe, celebrations of the bicentenary were a joyful occasion. In the capital city, Vilnius, some 100 people gathered for a commemoration that included a devotional programme of prayer in five languages, a theatrical presentation, and a screening of the film, Light to the World.
