Stories of Celebrations

Celebrations of the bicentenary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh in Malawi brought together hundreds in communities throughout the country. The commemorations across the land took many different forms in villages and neighbourhoods. At a Bahá’í-inspired school in Lilongwe, a group of school teachers organized a weeklong celebration of the bicentenary, which began with presentations by students about Bahá’u’lláh. The organization of the bicentenary celebration followed study of the life of Bahá’u’lláh in which teachers and students were engaged.

The Bambino school in Malawi hosted a celebration that brought together 1,000 participants. The school is one of numerous Bahá’í-inspired social and economic development endeavours in the country.
