In Myanmar, celebrations were held in numerous cities and villages to honour the life of Bahá’u’lláh and His unifying message. Some of these celebrations were covered on National News in the country. Myanmar has one of the oldest Bahá’í communities in the world, its establishment dating back to the time of Bahá’u’lláh.

A national celebration as well as festivities across the country were held to commemorate the bicentenary, including in Daidanaw, a village sometimes referred to as “‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s village.” The Bahá’í Faith has been present in Daidanaw since the time of Bahá’u’lláh.
