In Nepal, celebraitons for the bicentenary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh were festive occasions. Celebrations marked the historic occasion by dances, music, devotions, and fellowship. Events took place in villages in many parts of the country and brought together Bahá’ís and their friends, as well as local and municipal leaders.

1,500 attend bicentenary celebrations in East region

Celebrations through the eastern region of Nepal attracted large numbers over the bicentenary weekend. The gathering shown below attracted 1,500 people.

The Bahá’í community in the East Kanchanpur organized a program at the Municipal Office for the local officials in their city. The purpose of the event was to share about the life of Bahá’u’lláh, the Bahá’í Faith, and the role of the community-building activities in East Kanchanpur. The officials in attendance, numbering around 14, shared their eagerness to see the positive work that they had witnessed in the city spread throughout the municipality.
