Throughout Togo, celebrations brought together many communities to honor the bicentenary of the life of Bahá’u’lláh. A national reception was held for the historic occasion. Guests included a representative from the Prime Minister's Office, the ambassador of Germany, and other representatives and officials. The occasion of the bicentenary was also covered on national media, including the national radio station. In smaller settings, celebrations in localities across the country included devotional programmes and artistic presentations offered in a spirit of reverence and joy.
